​Kenne Smith is a visionary entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and lifelong learner whose journey from small-town Texas to national impact is both inspiring and deeply rooted in purpose. Growing up in Silsbee, Texas, Kenne’s worldview expanded dramatically during a vacation to North Carolina—a trip that turned into a decade-long stay in Chapel Hill. There, he worked at the University of North Carolina Hospitals (UNCH), where his creativity and problem-solving skills led to innovations in endoscopy processing. His time at UNCH also sparked a passion for business and technology, which he pursued through studies at UNC and surrounding colleges.​While still working in healthcare, Kenne founded a national nonprofit association that attracted thousands of members and major corporate sponsors. This early success revealed his talent for building communities and creating sustainable impact—skills that would define his career.

Returning to Silsbee, Kenne joined Time Warner Cable and began investing in real estate. Over the past 25 years, he has transformed neglected properties into welcoming homes through his company, Better Days Realty. The name reflects his mission: to give homes—and the families who live in them—a chance at better days ahead.​​

 

Equally passionate about animal welfare, Kenne created Pet Endowment Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps pet owners plan for the lifelong care of their animals. The organization works with veterinarians, legal experts, and donors to ensure pets are protected—even when their owners can no longer care for them. His lifelong love for animals—shaped by growing up on a small farm—fuels this mission.

 

​Kenne’s life is a blend of service, innovation, and adventure. He and his partner, Linda Moon, are avid travelers who document their journeys online, sharing stories that inspire others to live boldly and give generously. Linda, a former corporate wellness executive and professional musician, is also a key partner in their real estate ventures and nonprofit work.

 

​Kenne’s entrepreneurial spirit didn’t stop there. He and Linda founded Student Millionaires LLC, a platform designed to empower young people with financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and the mindset to build wealth early in life. His goal is to help the next generation break cycles of financial struggle and unlock their full potential.​

 

Together, they make their home in Silsbee, Texas, surrounded by their beloved dogs (Luna, Gypsy & Star) and a shared commitment to making the world a better place—one home, one pet, and one person at a time.
